Angels in the tracery St Mary The Crucifixion St John the
Evangelist

The east window depicts the Crucifixion with the figures of St. Mary and St. John the Evangelist, on either side, and with angels holding shields and scrolls in the tracery. It was subscribed for by the parishioners and is in memory of all those from the parish who served in the First World War. The inscription along the bottom reads:

To the Glory of God and in honour of all those from this parish who served in the war 1914-1918

The window was dedicated by the rector of Cotgrave, the Rev. J. P. Hales, on 11 July 1920. It was designed and made by G. F. Gascoyne & Son of Nottingham.

2.The window shows Saint Agatha and Saint Barbara and commemorates Dorothy White who died in 1918.

The inscription states:

To the Honour of God and in memory of Dorothy White born
April 5th, 1896 died November 9th, 1918. Blessed are the pure in heart.

Stained glass window by Derek Hunt of Limelight Studios of Medbourne, Leicestershire.

The window displays a farming scene and is dedicated to a local farmer.

The inscription reads:

TO THE
GLORY OF GOD
AND IN MEMORY OF FRED MELLORS
1926 – 1992, AND ALL WHO HAVE
FARMED THE LAND OF THIS PARISH
DOWN THE AGES

South Aisle

4.The window depicts Christ the Good Shepherd and commemorates the coronation of King George V on 22 June 1911.

The inscription reads:

This window is dedicated to the Honour
and Glory of God and in commemoration
of the Coronation of George, 5th.

North Aisle

5.Stained glass window by Derek Hunt of Limelight Studios of Medbourne, Leicestershire.

The window shows Cotgrave Colliery and the parish church. Miner's lamps hang either side of the window and the ceremonial spade used by Princess Margaret when she turned the first sod of the colliery in 1954 hangs in the window recess.

The inscription states:

In proud memory of those who gave their
skill, energy, health and sometimes life itself
to the mining of coal from beneath the land
of this parish Cotgrave Colliery : 1964 to 1993
